HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON
How to Train Your Dragon (2010) is an animated adventure film produced by DreamWorks Animation and directed by Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois. The movie is based on Cressida Cowell’s book of the same name and follows the story of Hiccup, a young Viking who struggles to fit in with his tribe, which prides itself on hunting dragons.
Hiccup, the awkward but intelligent son of the village chief, Stoick the Vast, wants to prove himself as a dragon slayer. However, when he captures a rare and powerful Night Fury dragon, whom he names Toothless, he realizes that dragons are not the vicious creatures his people believe them to be. As he secretly befriends Toothless, Hiccup learns about dragons' true nature and tries to change his people's perception of them.
The film is praised for its breathtaking animation, emotional storytelling, and thrilling action sequences. It explores themes of friendship, self-discovery, and challenging societal norms. The success of How to Train Your Dragon led to two sequels (How to Train Your Dragon 2 in 2014 and How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World in 2019), along with several TV series and spin-offs.
