By 1900, the Perehara activities started in the background of the socio-economic pattern of our villages. In the year 1925, the new generation got the opportunity to see the parade. The use of money was minimized in the agro-economic pattern of paddy farming and hen farming to fulfill all the needs of the villagers. Transactions took place through barter. Donations of rice, paddy, kerosene and coconut oil have been given for Perahara. In terms of money, cents, twos and fives are mentioned in the aid sheets. It is also mentioned that they paid two or three rupees to the musicians and dancers who were brought to the Perahara. There is a big difference compared to the current costs.
Annual support is received from Palipana, Diddeniya, Kiralagama, Varakadeniya donors who contribute to the temple, banks and financial institutions and trading institutions located in Poojapitiya town which has achieved rapid development, business community and tricycle associations. Mihindu Maha Perahara, which can be called as a Buddhist cultural show that has inherited the Buddhist and religious greatness of Sri Purvarama to the future, was supported by Sri Dalada Palace and Kandy's Satara Dewala during the period from 1966 to 1969. In particular, in 1967, the Raja Ata Perahara Sarvajna Dhatu Karaduva of Sri Dalada Palace was consecrated and the Perahara Relic was offered by Apavatwee Wadala Palipana Siri Niwas Nahimi, who was the registrar of the Asgiri Maha Vihara at that time, and a Perahara Fund was established at that time. have We appreciate the contribution of the nearby school students and Dhamma schools then and now. For more than six decades, we appreciate the dedication of the late vihara president, Harispatttu, Sanghanayaka Miniwangamuwa Ratanasara Nahimi, who has given advice to maintain the Mihindu Maha Perahara as a full-fledged worship service in its present condition. At present, Reverend Udakumbure Vimalarathana is conducted under the leadership of Nayaka Thero.
